Re-purpose your SEO strategy to maximise SEO impact

With COVID-19 bringing a distinct change in our economy, there is no doubt about how businesses have been operating. Here at Infinity Nation, we are doing our best to help all our clients by providing detailed insights on what needs to be changed and how SEO as a platform can be utilised to its full potential by re-purposing the strategy.
Based on our most recent research, you will see our top-level findings below and how you can re-purpose some of your existing strategy to help your customers.

Our Top 3 Tips for Improving Your SEO Impact

1. User search intent trends

In general, we have started seeing a steady decline in ‘Transactional’ and ‘Branded’ terms, but an increase in informational terms. For example, as you can see in Search Intent Trend above, general informational terms such as clothing seem to have been on the rise in the past 30 days, whereas branded terms such as Gucci and Prada haven’t had much search interest within the last 30 days. This is just one of many examples, showing that people are interested in exploring and finding what suits them the most rather than being loyal to one brand. This is an opportunity for you to create or re-purpose some of your existing strategies. i.e. Create/Update your top of the funnel content with more informational and navigational terms, allowing users to digest valuable digital content on your site.

2. UX and CRO

Would this be the right time to focus on landing page user experience (UX) and conversion rate optimisation (CRO) a bit more? We certainly would recommend this.

There has never been a better time than now to look at UX and CRO. Focusing in this area should be top of your list, as it goes hand in hand with SEO and the other aspects of Digital Marketing, helping to improve your overall website performance.

3. Improve your site structure

If you have never had the time to focus on the health of your website this might be the time to put more emphasis towards structural SEO activities, such as doing an advanced technical audit of your site and resolving all the critical issues you find. It is crucial to clean up and organise your system files to help improve the health of your site. This can help improve the performance of your site in the long run.

In Summary

To summarise some of our key findings, yes, COVID-19 has caused uncertainty in various sectors and how businesses is run. However, there are certainly many things we can do during this pandemic situation to limit its effects, while the economy recovers. Simply put, what and how you invest the time in your site now can define the performance of your site in the future.

These simple steps could be the difference between success and failure during this difficult time.
