16 senior managers attended the event near Malmesbury, Wiltshire. Hidden away in 12 acres of stunning gardens in the depths of the Cotswolds, Whatley Manor’s cinema room provided a cool and comfortable venue for the presentation.
James Martin from Infinity Nation kicked off the event with an in-depth and lively talk on Google AdWords.
He covered off the changes Google has made in the last 12 months and the impact this has had on website owners and searchers alike as well as talking about other methods of running paid search such as Pinterest, Baido, Facebook, Linkedin and Instagram and the differences between each platform. He also talked about the impact of paid search on organic listings and how the two can complement each other.
James gave the audience some hot tips on creating better ads and the biggest errors we as an agency see companies making on their paid search accounts.
Pat Wood, the Managing Director of online retailer Truffle Shuffle was the closing (and very entertaining) keynote speaker and talked about how he built his business over the past 13 years with the help of Google Adwords. He stated he is a firm believer of finding the right agency that works closely with you and understands your business. He has found that working this way has significantly boosted Truffle Shuffles growth in the past 2 years but in a sustainable way.
The event finished with an interactive Q&A session and networking which proved to be very enjoyable to all involved.
